We are in need of a well versed Yard Supervisor who will be responsible for overseeing the activities and staff, which is a designated area where all goods, equipment, vehicles and products are stored and being transferred.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all loads are accurate as per invoices before dispatch and upon receipt
• Inspect vehicles and loads before and after trips
• Assisting the Operations Manager where needed
• Administer all work yard operations and ensure compliance to safety policies
• Maintain neat and clean yard at all times
• Maintain optimal level of customer services and assist to resolve all customer issues
• Supervise all customer and company staff in all yard operations
• Hire and train staff to develop and achieve all work objectives and evaluate performances on a regular basis
• Coordinate with Operations Manager and receive all products and prepare necessary paperwork
• Monitor inventory of yard supplies and place purchase orders as necessary
• Monitor loading of materials to ensure safe transfer to other stores
• Monitor work of employees and initiate disciplinary actions as required

Requirements:

• Must have previous supervisor experience
• Must have experience within the same or similar industry
• Must have good knowledge of tyres and tyre-related products
• Must have strong attention to detail
• Must reside in or near Blackheath, Cape Town
• Must understand Afrikaans
