A retailer in the town of Gingindlovu (KZN North Coast) is looking for a Stock Controller for their operation in Gingindlovu but the role might open up to also oversee the Eshowe operation. The ideal candidate MUST have a minimum of 5 years experience as Stock Controller or Merchandiser, either from retail or a large stock holding set up. Some of the duties entailed below:

1. Maintain stock count sheets and allocate departments for daily cycle counts to the agreed upon persons to count
2. Capture the first counts of all items on the system per the allocated batches
3. Request authorization of zero variances to be processed from senior management
4. Perform a second count of all items with variances.
5. Investigate the variances – Review when last balanced, movements, GRV’s, charge outs, damages
6. Report on variances to senior management and document all findings
7. Request authorization of variances to be processed form senior management together with appropriate/corrective action procedures and/or warnings and/or employees to be charged for the variances due to negligence
8. Assist the business with driving variances to an acceptable level.
9. Adhoc duties as may be required by the line manager. Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Education:
