Purpose of the role:

This role will report to the Head of Specification and will involve working closely with the other members of the Specification team and other ASSA ABLOY business colleagues to develop and maximise opportunities and convert Specifications to Orders for respective market.

Responsibilities:

  • Be a subject-matter expert in ASSA ABLOY products and solutions and any related standard, regulation and norm
  • Identify and secure Door and Hardware Specification sales opportunities
  • Establish and nurture a productive and collaborative business relationship with key stakeholders such as architects, contractors, distribution, and end users, while practicing as a professional advisor to them across the project lifecycle
  • Act as the main contact for the project and represent ASSA ABLOY in any relevant project meeting
  • Obtain and handover to the Specifier all required information to enable a fluent specification process, and validate that deliverables are compliant with ASSA ABLOY KPI, local regulations, and customer/project requirements
  • Provide customers with complete and compliant ASSA ABLOY door opening solutions deliverables including hardware and door schedules, bills of quantities, quotations, etc.
  • Work closely and collaborate with ASSA ABLOY Specifiers, Specification Consultants, Project Managers, and other business partners to maintain, defend, deliver, and convert to orders a pipeline of specification projects
  • Support value-added sales and marketing activities and events to promote ASSA ABLOY Specification and solutions
  • Conduct product training, demonstrations, and promotions to customers
  • Become proficient and utilize ASSA ABLOY Openings Studio™, CRM, MKS, or other business applications required for ongoing delivery and handover
  • Write specifications from time to time as required to support demand
  • Participate regularly in internal Specification and Sales meetings responding and following up on related inquiries and performance
  • Meet agreed-upon goals and objectives that include targeted specification volumes and focus product groups, targeted Specification solution opportunities and their conversion to orders, participation in events and customer meetings.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Educated to a related degree or related Architectural Courses, or with related field extensive work experience. Degree in Architecture or Construction Management, a plus
  • Working knowledge of architectural and construction documents and Door and Hardware standards and regulations, a plus
  • Working experience in sales and/or marketing functions, a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction documents including door schedules, floor plans, elevations, wiring diagrams, etc.
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of major Microsoft 'Office Suite' software programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
  • Knowledge of Autodesk® AutoCAD®, Autodesk® Revit® Architecture, or GRAPHISOFT® ARCHICAD® software, a plus
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and follow-up habits
  • Ability to meet multiple project deadlines and exercise effective time management
  • Strong communication skills and professional presentation skills
  • Ability to travel as required for the role
