Description


A leading luxury hotel in Camps Bay seeks a Restaurant Service Manager to join their multi-venue team. The Restaurant Service Manager will be responsible for the restaurant's revenue, profitability, and quality goals. You will ensure efficient restaurant operation, as well as maintain high production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards. You will be managing day-to-day operations with a goal of controlling costs and providing a high-quality experience to the customers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Food and Beverage/Hotel Management qualification advantageous
  • Previous experience in the same or similar position in a 4/5-star property
  • Familiar with the duties and responsibilities for the Food and Beverage department
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) essential
  • Opera experience advantageous
  • Micros experience advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the service levels are maintained and sustained in the restaurants
  • Manage dining rooms
  • Communicate with service, kitchen, and reception staff regarding special requests, events, and guest needs
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
  • Organize and supervise shifts
  • Appraise staff performance and give feedback to improve productivity
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation regulations
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations
  • Ensure all employees are working within the outlined operational standards
  • Report on financial performance, inventory, and personnel
  • Produce management reports as required
  • Be familiar with the guests staying in the hotel
  • Upsell F&B, accommodation, and tourism services
  • Inform all guests of current specials and upcoming events
  • Rostering
  • Training and testing of staff
  • Ensure the stock control system is maintained
  • Do duty manager shifts
  • Sign off stock takes
  • Gratuity control and allocation
  • Micros day and report accounts to be balanced
  • Cash up
